Distinguished Flying Cross

PIC of the first rescue helicopter into Hurricane Harvey, Houston, TX. The Distinguished Flying Cross, authorized by an Act of Congress of July 2, 1926 (amended by Executive Order 7786 on Jan. 8, 1938), was awarded first to Capt. Charles A. Lindbergh. The DFC is the fourth-highest award for heroism and the highest award for extraordinary aerial achievement.
